Our Time at the Build Show 2017

It’s been a fantastic week for the team here at strukta!
After considerable planning, thought and many months of excitement, we packed the car to the brim, inflated the tyres and headed to Birmingham for this year’s Build Show!
As we stepped foot in the NEC, we saw the striking strukta green from a mile off and hurriedly made our way towards it (as quickly as we could with a sack truck laden with giveaways and goodies)! As we got closer, we couldn’t have been happier with the fantastic design! Merit Display had interpreted our vision perfectly, creating and erecting a stand that truly reflected the strukta brand. Two members of our marketing team spent the afternoon perfecting, polishing and making the finishing touches ready for the highly-anticipated show! With the exception of a bleeding finger, it was a satisfying, gratifying and fun afternoon.
As the clock struck 10 on the 10th October, visitors descended and our first day was the sign of good things to come! It was a pleasure to spend the days meeting a wide variety of people, all from different walks of life, and with differing needs, requirements and businesses! Our “spin to win” wheel attracted great attention, with flocks of people queueing to take their chances and win a strukta prize.
People are at the heart of everything we do here at strukta, and we understand that not every one person is the same – which is why we had a whole host of giveaway options available this year. We were confident that this way we could cater to everyone – as we all know there’s nothing worse than traipsing round a show with a heavy bag of items that you don’t want or need! Stand visitors went away with stationery, from handy carpenter’s pencils, to smart silver pens, to scale rules! Other winners took away power banks (nobody likes a flat battery), beanie hats (it’s nearly winter after all), and our great new giveaway: the RFID Card. This smart device acts as a barrier, and stops scammers using contactless scanners to steal your money!
For those laden with plastic bags, and facing the pain of blue fingers – we handed out drawstring bags, and for 7 lucky people, a wheelie trolley – a handy carrier for these events where your collection of goodies multiplies in minutes.
As if exhibiting at the show wasn’t enough excitement, we also had our latest product guide with us – with a fresh, new look but the same great range of products, it was fantastic to be able to share and distribute this to visitors.
As well as providing an opportunity to showcase what we offer and meet a whole host of interesting people – we were also lucky to have the chance to check out some really well thought out, and interesting stands and displays! As we wandered the aisles, we saw driving games, darts competitions and dancing girls (to mention just a few)!
We saw what worked (and what didn’t) and left with a whole host of ideas for our next exhibition!
