The Company

The Project

The masonry dwellings were set to be a combination of 17 affordable units, 44 high specification private homes and 26 Starter Homes, exclusively available to first time buyers living within the New Forest District council administrative area. As part of the project, Pennyfarthing Homes were to incorporate an area of sustainable alternative natural green space (SANG) within the external development for recreational use by the general public and has been received extremely well by local residents.
Challenges
Whilst the project has run relatively smoothly to date, it hasn’t been without its minor challenges.
Wet weather and periods of snow have caused project delays for the team; a common yet unavoidable challenge in construction.
With projects of this scale, supply & demand can interfere with the smooth running and efficiency of any project schedule, and unfortunately lead times on facing bricks, insulation blocks and rood tiles have had an impact.
Despite this, the team are still on track to complete the project within the agreed timeframe of 105 weeks and the builds are now 80% sold, a testament to their resilience, experience and unfaltering dedication.
