Erin Phillips: Customer Service/HR support
Course completed: Level 3 CIPD certificate in HR Practice
“I enjoy working with people and problem solving, I’ve always thought you spend a lot of time in the workplace so if I can help everyone enjoy it and stay happy then that works for me. I studied law at college, so the legal side of HR also interests me. To support me in my learning I have been working alongside colleagues in creating internal communications and completing administrative tasks to support the HR function”. – Erin.
Sherwin Polius: Operations
Training completed: First Aid
“Individuals can suffer serious injuries at any given time and may require immediate first aid. Health and Safety is a priority here at strukta and we have first aid arrangements in place to ensure this happens and first aiders are provided with refresher training to ensure the training is current”. – Sherwin.
Many of our struktaTEAM are first aid trained, and we are committed to ensuring this is kept up to date to support a safe workplace for all our teams.
Jack Hainsworth: IT
Practical experience: Joined a projects team to support his accredited learning
“When I joined strukta I found a lot of my work was focused around management of small projects, which I really enjoyed. To compliment my role, I enrolled on a Prince2 Foundation Course in Project Management. My manager at strukta has now included me within a new project team to help me put my training into context and provide some invaluable practical experience”. – Jack.
How else are we supporting our teams in their learning?
All staff wishing to engage in online learning are encouraged to utilise our LinkedIn Learning account which provides access to a great range of courses in a number of subjects. This fits in perfectly with other commitments – as courses come in a range of formats, and lengths – making it easy for our teams to build on their continued professional development as and when they’re able to!
In June we launched our NEW staff communication programme, which provides teams the opportunity to learn from one another with dedicated product training sessions and quizzes as well as skills sessions in a number of subjects. We’ve found this to be a great opportunity for peer-to-peer mentoring; fostering a fantastic internal culture across departments!
