Why use cast iron style PVC guttering?

May 21, 2019

PVC GutteringThe Brett Martin range of cast iron effect PVC guttering and accessories are a fantastic option for those looking to save money and time. Whether you are needing to replace a traditional cast iron rainwater system, or are looking to enhance the period features of a property, cast iron style may be the way forward for your project. Here we’ve outlined some of the key benefits of using cast iron style rainwater systems.

Authentic aesthetic

Brett Martin have over 50 years’ experience in manufacturing plastics products, and have used this to create a product with original cast iron detailing on pipework, fittings and hoppers ensuring a smart and authentic finish to any project.

Cost effective

PVC Rainwater SystemA whole PVC rainwater system is considerably cheaper than cast iron or other metal alternatives, not only to buy the materials but also to install and maintain. With Brett Martin’s unique patented manufacturing process, the highly detailed textured surface gives the full appearance of cast iron at a fraction of the cost.

Easy installation

Plastic guttering is lightweight and easy to install. Each section can also be quickly replaced if needed with minimal equipment required, avoiding costly project delays. Our range of guttering is also compatible with many existing PVC rainwater systems.

Durable and robust

Corrosion resistantModern PVC is lightweight yet highly durable and robust, manufactured to be corrosion resistant and UV stabilised. Being less likely to dent or rust than cast iron, this low maintenance alternative is highly flexible, preventing cracking as it shrinks and expands with weather fluctuations. Plastic guttering is non-porous and does not require painting, making it less likely to decay or rust, and also saving time and effort in the long run.

A style to suit every build
